Banking Poker Games

Arrange one Ace and one 2 of each suit in two columns, the 2s to the right of the Aces. To the left of the Aces deal twelve cards in three rows of tour cards each-it is called the left wing; and to the right of the 2s sixteen cards in four rows of four cards each- it is known as the right wing (see illustration).
            The object of the game is to build on the Aces suit-sequences in the order: A 3 5 7 9 J K 2 4 6 8 10 Q, and on the 2s in the order: 2 3 6 8 10 Q A 3 5 7 9 J K.
            From the left wing only the bottom card of a column may be built on a foundation and the space is not filled; from the right wing any card may be built on a foundation and the space must be filled either with the top card of the waste heap or that of the stock.
            The stock is turned once and any card that cannot be built on a foundation, or is not needed to fill a space in the right wing, is played to a waste heap.

Royal Parade
DOUBLE-PACK

Royal Parade is a popular two-pack patience with the alternative names of Financier, Hussars and Three Up.
Twenty-four cards are dealt in three rows of eight cards each (see illustration). Aces take no part in the game and are discarded. the cards in the layout must be arranged so that the top row consists of eight 2s, the middle row of eight 3s, and the bottom row of eight 4s, and these cards must be built on in suit-sequences at intervals of three cards, namely:

In the layout illustrated the A, in the top row, and the A ♣, in the bottom row, are discarded: the 4♠, in the middle row, is moved to the space in the bottom row left vacant by the discard of the A ♣, and the 7♠, in the top row, built on it. Either the 3♥ or 3♣, both in the top row, may be moved to fill the space in the middle row left vacant by the 4♠, and clearly the 3♥ should be chosen because the 6♥, in the bottom row may be built on it. And so on.
When all moves have been made, eight cards are dealt to waste heaps below the layout. Aces, as they are dealt, are discarded; other cards are used to build on the foundations or to fill spaces in the layout. Play continues in this way, making moves after each deal of eight cards to the waste-heaps, until the pack is exhausted. Only the top cards of the waste heaps may be moved to the layout.
